Our Story
An organic day spa in Carmel, run by the two people who started it
Wellness Origin has been at the same address on Keystone Way for more than twelve years. It is still owned by the couple who opened it, and they are still the two people you talk to about wellness consulting.
Wellness Origin Spa is an organic day spa at 937 Keystone Way N in Carmel, Indiana, owned and operated by Eric Hall, CNC, and Dr. Eva Vig-Varga, PhD, CNC. It has been open in Carmel for more than twelve years. The spa is built around two things at once: inner wellness, through nutrition and wellness consulting, and outer beauty, through organic facials, massage, body and laser services. Wellness Origin is not a medspa. There are no injectables and no invasive procedures here.
How the spa started
Before there was a spa there were two nutrition consultants. Eric Hall and Dr. Eva Vig-Varga have both been Certified Clinical Nutrition Consultants since 2004, and they spent years sitting across a desk from people who wanted to feel better and did not know where to start. The organic product line came next, in 2009. The spa in Carmel came after that, and it has been open here for more than twelve years.
The order matters, because it explains why this place is put together the way it is. Most day spas start with treatment rooms and add retail later. Wellness Origin started with the consulting and the ingredients, then built treatment rooms around them. That is why the shelf at the front of the house is not an afterthought, why the products used on your skin are the same ones we are willing to sell you, and why the person who owns the business can answer a question about what is in a jar.
Twelve years in one location in Carmel is not glamorous, but it is the honest measure of a small business. The clients who walked in during the first year are still on the books. The owners are still here every week. Nobody bought this place and turned it into a chain.

Two prongs: inner wellness and outer beauty
Wellness Origin was designed around a simple idea that the two owners never let go of: how you feel on the inside and how you look on the outside are the same project, and treating them in two different buildings makes no sense.
The inner side is wellness consulting. That is a conversation with a Certified Clinical Nutrition Consultant about your habits, your goals and what you actually eat, supported by an Advanced Level ZYTO Wellness Scan. It is general wellness and nutritional consulting. It is not diagnosis, it is not treatment, and it is not a substitute for your physician.
The outer side is the spa itself. Organic facials, massage therapy, waxing, lashes and brows, body contouring, laser services and hyperbaric oxygen sessions, in treatment rooms at the same address. You can book a consultation and a facial on the same afternoon, and the person doing one knows the other exists.
Eric Hall, CNC
Eric has been a Certified Clinical Nutrition Consultant since 2004. His work at the spa is building personalized wellness programs, which in practice means listening carefully to one person at a time and putting together something they can actually follow. He looks at individual nutritional needs alongside lifestyle and personal goals, rather than handing out a plan that was written for somebody else.
He keeps up with current research and innovation in clinical nutrition, and he works with herbal and complementary approaches as well as the conventional side. If you book a wellness consultation, this is the level of attention it is built around: comprehensive support for one person who wants to feel better, not a template.

Dr. Eva Vig-Varga, PhD, CNC
Eva holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology and is a certified Clinical Nutrition Consultant. Before wellness consulting she spent more than ten years in academic research, and her name is on numerous peer-reviewed publications in cellular immunology, endocrinology and nutrition.
That is an unusual background for a day spa owner, and it shows up in how she works. She has a deep understanding of the body's systems and how they affect overall wellbeing, and she brings that scientific reading to a consultation instead of leaving it at the university. Since 2004 her focus has been personalized wellness consultations. At Wellness Origin her work is general wellness and nutritional consulting.
It also shows up in what this spa refuses to say. When someone has spent a decade publishing research, they are careful about claims. You will not find promises on this website that the evidence does not support.

What Wellness Origin is not
This is worth saying plainly, because the categories blur in advertising. Wellness Origin is a day spa. It is not a medspa and it is not a medical clinic. There are no injectables here. There are no invasive procedures. Nothing done in these rooms is intended to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any disease, and no one on staff will tell you otherwise.
Everything on the menu is a cosmetic or wellness service. No unapproved substances and no regulated devices are used. Results vary from person to person, and the statements on this site have not been evaluated by the FDA. If you have an ongoing health concern, the right first conversation is with your own physician. We will happily be the second one.
We would rather lose a booking to that sentence than earn one by blurring it.
What organic actually changes here
- The products the estheticians reach for are organic lines, not a house blend of whatever was cheapest at wholesale.
- Wellness Origin is an authorized Eminence Organics retailer, and Eminence plants a tree for every product sold.
- The same building holds an organic health food and supplement store, so the retail shelf and the treatment room stay consistent with each other.
- The Wellness Origin organic product line has been made and sold since 2009, including organic skin care, essential oils and organic perfumes.
- Facials are built as a custom blend for your skin rather than a fixed protocol applied to everyone who books.
- The owners can tell you what is in a product and why it is there, because they chose it.
What a first visit looks like
Book it, or let us book it
You can use the online scheduler or call the front desk at (317) 979-1234 and a person will book it with you. Neither route is the wrong one.
Arrive fifteen minutes early
We ask everyone to arrive at least 15 minutes before the appointment start time. That covers parking, paperwork and a glass of water before you go back.
Tell your provider what you want
Facials start with a skin assessment. Massage starts with the areas you want worked on. Laser and body services start with a consultation before anything is scheduled.
The treatment itself
Quiet rooms, organic products, and one provider who stays with you for the whole appointment.
Afterward
Your provider will tell you what they saw and what they would do next, including doing nothing for a while. If a product would help, they will show you the one on the shelf and let you decide.
Questions
Common questions
Who owns Wellness Origin Spa?
Eric Hall, CNC, and Dr. Eva Vig-Varga, PhD, CNC. Both have been Certified Clinical Nutrition Consultants since 2004, and both are still involved in the business day to day. Eva also holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology with more than ten years of academic research and peer-reviewed publications behind her.
How long has the spa been in Carmel?
More than twelve years at 937 Keystone Way N. The organic product line goes back further, to 2009, and the owners' consulting work goes back to 2004.
Is Wellness Origin a medspa?
No. Wellness Origin is an organic day spa. There are no injectables and no invasive procedures. Every service on the menu is cosmetic or wellness in nature, and nothing offered here is intended to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any disease.
What makes it an organic spa rather than a regular one?
The products. The estheticians work with organic skin care lines, the spa is an authorized Eminence Organics retailer, and the same building holds an organic health food and supplement store along with the Wellness Origin organic product line that has been made since 2009.
Do I have to book a wellness consultation to use the spa?
No. Most people book a facial or a massage and never sit down for a consultation, and that is fine. The consulting side is there if you want it, not a gate you have to pass through.
