Massage in Carmel, Indiana, in 60 and 90 minute sessions
Six kinds of massage, organic oils on the table, and therapists who ask what you want worked on before they start rather than halfway through.
Wellness Origin Spa in Carmel, Indiana offers custom, Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, reflexology and lymphatic drainage massage using premium organic products. Custom, Swedish and deep tissue are available at 60 and 90 minutes. Prenatal, reflexology and lymphatic drainage are published at 60 minutes. A 60 minute session starts at $98, with 3 and 6 session packages available after creating an account.
What kind of massage do you need?
Most people booking a massage are answering one of three questions: I want to switch off, I want something specific worked on, or I am pregnant and want to lie down comfortably. The menu maps onto those answers more cleanly than the names suggest.
If you want to switch off, book Swedish. Light to medium touch, long gliding strokes, kneading and circular movements, and no conversation required. If you want something specific worked on, book deep tissue or the custom massage. Deep tissue uses deeper pressure and slower strokes on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. The custom massage combines Swedish and deep tissue techniques with stretching, built around the areas you name at the start of the session. If you are pregnant, book prenatal, which is set up for comfort and support rather than intensity.
Reflexology and lymphatic drainage are the two that need a sentence of explanation, and they get one further down. Organic oils are used throughout, which is the same principle that runs through the rest of the spa.

What is the room like?
Five treatment rooms, warm light, and a building that is quiet by design. Please respect our quiet, tranquil environment to ensure the enjoyment and peace of all spa guests. That line is in our terms because it matters to the person in the next room.
Arrive at least 15 minutes before your start time. That window is for the intake conversation, which is where you tell the therapist what you want, what to avoid, and how much pressure you actually like. If you have never been asked that before, this is the useful part: pressure is a preference, not a grade, and telling us mid-session that it is too much is completely normal.
What are the six massage services?
- Custom Massage. A personalized session combining Swedish and deep tissue techniques with stretching, built around the areas of concern you discuss with your therapist. 60 minutes $98, 90 minutes $144.
- Swedish Massage. Light to medium touch, long gliding strokes, kneading and circular movements. The classic relaxation session. 60 minutes $98, 90 minutes $144.
- Deep Tissue Massage. Deeper pressure and slower strokes targeting the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, with organic oils. 60 minutes $98, 90 minutes $144.
- Prenatal Massage. Designed to promote relaxation during pregnancy, focused on comfort and support for the expectant mother. 60 minutes $108.
- Reflexology. A foot and hand treatment applying pressure to reflex points. Shoes off, everything else on. 60 minutes $98.
- Lymphatic Drainage Massage. A gentle technique using rhythmic strokes and very light pressure. It feels nothing like a deep tissue session and it is not supposed to. 60 minutes $130.
How to get more out of the session
Name the areas at the start
Shoulders, low back, calves, jaw. Whatever it is, say it during the intake rather than hoping the therapist finds it. Sixty minutes spread evenly over a whole body is a different session from sixty minutes with half the time on your upper back.
Be honest about pressure
Deep tissue is not a test of endurance and Swedish is not a lesser choice. The right pressure is the pressure you can relax under. Saying lighter or firmer partway through is expected and it will not offend anyone.
Give yourself a buffer afterwards
Book so you are not sprinting to something immediately after. Drinking water and keeping the rest of the hour unhurried is most of what people mean by making a massage last longer.
Decide on a rhythm, not a one-off
Package pricing exists because most people who feel a real difference are going regularly rather than once a year. Three and six session packages are available after creating an account, and there is a monthly massage program if you want it built into the calendar.

Why book massage at a spa that also does everything else?
Because the rest of the menu is next door. Lymphatic drainage massage and NormaTec lymphatic compression are two different services in the same building, and people who book one often want to know about the other. The same is true of massage and hyperbaric sessions, or a massage and a facial on the same afternoon. You are not driving across Hamilton County to assemble a routine out of three businesses.
It also means the products are consistent. The organic oils used on the massage table come from the same philosophy as the Eminence Organics line on the retail shelf and the organic health food store at the front of the building. If you react to fragrance or to particular ingredients, tell us at intake and we will work around it.
Massage here is a wellness and relaxation service. It is not medical treatment, and we do not diagnose or treat any condition.

Questions
Common questions
What massage lengths do you offer?
Custom, Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage are offered in 60 minutes and 90 minutes. Prenatal Massage, Reflexology and Lymphatic Drainage Massage are published at 60 minutes only. If you are choosing between 60 and 90 for a full body session, the extra half hour is usually the difference between covering everything and covering everything without rushing.
What does a 60 minute massage cost?
Custom, Swedish, Deep Tissue and Reflexology are $98 for 60 minutes. Prenatal Massage is $108 and Lymphatic Drainage Massage is $130. Ninety minute sessions of custom, Swedish and deep tissue are $144. Three and six session packages are available after creating an account, and they carry published savings against the single session rate.
What is the difference between Swedish and deep tissue?
Swedish uses light to medium touch with long gliding strokes, kneading and circular movements, and is built for relaxation. Deep tissue uses deeper pressure and slower strokes to reach the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Neither is better. If you want to switch off, book Swedish. If you want a specific area worked on firmly, book deep tissue or the custom massage.
Do you offer a massage membership?
Yes. Join our massage program at $68 per month and 10% off product purchases. Call us to get set up on (317) 979-1234, since there is no online signup. You are charged on the first of each month regardless of whether you use the service that month, the monthly service does not roll over, and cancellation requires 30 days notice.
Do you offer couples massage?
Two separate massages booked at the same time can be arranged by phone. Call (317) 979-1234 and the front desk will tell you what is actually available on the day you want rather than promising a room configuration we have not confirmed.
Do you offer cupping as a standalone massage service?
Cupping is currently published only as one modality inside the combined body contouring session, where cups are placed on the skin to create suction and a localized change in pressure. If you want cupping specifically, call and ask rather than booking a massage and hoping.
Is lymphatic drainage massage the same as compression therapy?
No. Lymphatic drainage massage is manual, a gentle technique using rhythmic strokes and light pressure, and runs 60 minutes at $130. NormaTec lymphatic compression is a machine that applies dynamic air compression to legs, hips or arms, and runs 30 minutes at $47. They are different services on different parts of the menu, and the front desk can explain which one people usually book for what.
