Wellness Origin Spa in Carmel, Indiana offers nine facial treatments: the Facial Custom Blend, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, radio frequency, a custom enzyme peel, hydrating, micro needling, high frequency and the Exosome Facial. Estheticians use high-quality natural skincare products with herbs and fruits, tailored to dry, normal, combination, sensitive or oily skin. Facials start at $98, with 3 and 6 session package pricing on most treatments.

What makes a facial organic?

The products. Our estheticians use high-quality, natural skincare products with herbs and fruits, tailored to your skin type, whether that is dry, normal, combination, sensitive or oily. Wellness Origin is an authorized Eminence Organics retailer, and the line used in the treatment room is the same line sold on the shelf at the front of the building.

That matters more than it sounds. A facial that works well and then sends you home to a completely different routine is a facial you have to repeat from scratch. Being able to buy the actual product that was on your face, rather than a rough equivalent, is the difference between a treatment and a routine.

Every facial starts with an assessment. The esthetician looks at your skin, asks what you have been using, and picks the combination from there. That is why the flagship treatment is called the Facial Custom Blend rather than being named after an ingredient.

What happens during a facial here?

You arrive at least 15 minutes early, the esthetician assesses your skin and asks about your current routine, and then the session is built around what she finds. Cleansing, exfoliation appropriate to your skin, the treatment itself, and finishing products. The room is warm and quiet, and most people stop talking within about four minutes.

Some treatments have a visible recovery window and we will tell you before you book, not after. Micro needling brings temporary redness or mild swelling for one to two days. The Exosome Facial brings mild redness for one to two days. Microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, the enzyme peel, hydrating and high frequency facials are the gentler end of the menu with minimal downtime.

What are the nine facial treatments?

  • Facial Custom Blend. A bespoke blend of botanicals, nourishing solutions and masks chosen after a thorough skin assessment. Recommended every 2 to 4 weeks. $125.
  • Microdermabrasion Facial. Gentle mechanical exfoliation that removes dead cells to smooth texture and tone, without harsh chemicals. $98.
  • Dermaplaning Facial. A sterile surgical scalpel gently removes dead cells and fine vellus hair, so products absorb better and makeup sits more evenly. Includes a customized facial. $125.
  • Radio Frequency Facial. Radio frequency energy gently warms skin tissue, applied with precision after a consultation with our estheticians. $147.
  • Custom Enzyme Peel. Natural enzymes, fruit extracts and gentle acids for exfoliation and moisture, without the harshness of a traditional chemical peel. $147.
  • Hydrating Facial. A three-step session: gentle cleansing, comfortable suction extraction, then an infusion of nutrient-rich serums. $147.
  • Micro Needling. Tiny punctures tailored to your skin, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, with one to two days of redness afterwards. $172.
  • High Frequency Facial. Two options selected when you book online, anti-aging or clarifying. Both are non-invasive with minimal downtime. $147.
  • Exosome Facial. A 60 minute session paired with micro needling for deeper absorption. An initial series of 2 to 5 sessions, spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, is recommended. $775, or $675 for a first session.

Session lengths

How do you build a facial routine that lasts?

  1. Start with the Custom Blend

It is the assessment treatment. The esthetician learns your skin, you learn what your skin actually responds to, and both of you have a baseline before spending money on anything more involved.

  2. Add the treatment that fits the goal

Texture and smoothness point toward microdermabrasion or dermaplaning. Firmness points toward radio frequency or micro needling. Hydration points toward the hydrating facial or the enzyme peel. Your esthetician will say which one she would pick and why.

  3. Hold a rhythm rather than chasing one big session

The Custom Blend is recommended every 2 to 4 weeks. Micro needling sits at 4 to 6 weeks. Skin responds to repetition, which is why 3 and 6 session packages are priced the way they are.

  4. Take the routine home

Whatever worked in the room is available on the retail shelf. Members of the facial program get 10% off product purchases, and the esthetician will tell you the two or three products that matter rather than selling you a full shelf.

What about add-ons?

Fifteen esthetics add-ons are available alongside a facial: dermaplaning, gua sha, LED mask, skin scrubber, enzyme peel, hand treatment, microdermabrasion, ultrasound, essential oil treatment, high frequency, nano micro-needling, hydrating facial, galvanic eye treatment, micro needling and radio frequency.

Until that list is published, add-ons are arranged by phone. Call us to get set up on (317) 979-1234 and we will quote it before your appointment rather than at the counter afterwards.

These are cosmetic treatments, not medical procedures, and results vary from person to person. Wellness Origin does not diagnose or treat any skin condition. If something on your skin concerns you medically, please see a physician first.

Questions

Common questions

How often should I get a facial?

The Facial Custom Blend is recommended every 2 to 4 weeks for optimal exfoliation and hydration. Micro needling sessions are spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Exosome Facials are recommended as an initial series of 2 to 5 sessions, spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, with maintenance sessions 3 to 12 months thereafter. Your esthetician will suggest a cadence that fits your skin.

How long is a facial?

The Exosome Facial is a 60 minute session, which is the only length currently published. If you are planning your afternoon around an appointment, call (317) 979-1234 and the front desk will tell you exactly how long to allow for the treatment you are booking.

Which facial should I book first?

The Facial Custom Blend. It begins with a thorough skin assessment by our estheticians, then combines botanicals, nourishing solutions and masks chosen for your skin. It is also offered at a first-time price of $88, which is 30% off the regular $125, limited to one per client. After that visit, your esthetician can recommend which of the other eight treatments is worth your money.

What add-ons are available?

Dermaplaning, gua sha facial, LED mask, skin scrubber, enzyme peel, hand treatment, microdermabrasion, ultrasound, essential oil treatment, high frequency, nano micro-needling, hydrating facial, galvanic eye treatment, micro needling and radio frequency. Add-ons are arranged by phone on (317) 979-1234 so you know the price before the appointment.

Do you offer a facial membership?

Yes. The Facial Custom Blend program is $84 per month and includes 10% off product purchases. Call us to get set up on (317) 979-1234, since there is no online signup. You are charged on the first of each month whether or not you use the service, the monthly service does not roll over into the next month, and cancelling requires 30 days notice.

Which skin types do you work with?

Dry, normal, combination, sensitive and oily. Every facial begins with an assessment, and the products and techniques are selected from there rather than run to a fixed script. If your skin reacts to fragrance or to particular ingredients, tell the esthetician during the assessment and she will build the session around that.

Will my skin be red afterwards?

It depends on the treatment. Micro needling brings temporary redness or mild swelling for one to two days. The Exosome Facial brings mild redness for one to two days. Microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, the enzyme peel, the hydrating facial and the high frequency facials have minimal downtime. If you have an event, tell us the date and we will recommend accordingly.
