A lash lift transforms straight lashes into a lasting curl using your own lashes. Nothing is attached, nothing is added and no synthetic hair is involved. Silicone lifting rods hold the lashes in the shape of the curl, a non toxic adhesive keeps them in position against the rod, and the curl is then set. It works on the same principle as a perm, which is why it is often described that way.

Because the curl lifts the lash upward, lashes appear fuller, thicker and longer without anything having been added to them. Most people find that mascara becomes optional rather than mandatory, which is the part clients tend to mention afterward. Lash lifts last from 6 to 8 weeks, which tracks the natural cycle of your own lashes.

Extensions attach synthetic lashes to your own, which delivers a more dramatic result and brings a maintenance schedule with it: infills every few weeks, care around oils and cleansers, and the ongoing cost that comes with a standing appointment. A lash lift is a cosmetic procedure widely regarded as a much less damaging alternative, because it works with the lashes you already have and adds no weight to them.
