Body Contouring
Cupping Treatment
Cups, suction and a localized change in pressure. Currently part of a combined session rather than a booking of its own.
Cupping involves placing cups on the skin to create suction, producing a localized change in pressure. At Wellness Origin it is one of four modalities inside the combined one hour body contouring session, which is published at $125 for one area of focus.

The mechanism, described plainly
Cups are placed against the skin and suction is created inside them. That suction produces a localized change in pressure in the area beneath the cup. Cups may be left in place or moved across an area depending on the technique being used. That is the whole of the mechanism and we are not going to dress it up.
The circular marks cupping is known for are a consequence of that pressure change at the skin surface. They are temporary and they are not a scoreboard. Darker marks do not mean a better session and lighter marks do not mean a wasted one. What they do mean is that you should tell us in advance if you have a wedding, a holiday or a photo shoot coming up.
Where it fits in the session
Our body contouring service is a single one hour appointment focused on one area, combining four modalities: lipo cavitation using low frequency sound waves, radio frequency contouring using controlled heat, cupping, and red light therapy. They are delivered in sequence by one technician, which is why the service is priced as a session rather than as four separate treatments.
If you specifically want cupping and nothing else, the honest answer is that it is not on our published menu as a standalone booking. Call (317) 979-1234 and ask. Our front desk will tell you what can be scheduled and quote you properly, and we would rather do that than invent a price on a web page.
Wellness Origin is a day spa, not a medical clinic. We do not diagnose, we do not treat and we make no claims about what cupping produces. Body contouring is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding, who have implanted devices such as pacemakers or insulin pumps, or who have a seizure disorder, and any medical conditions should be disclosed at your consultation.
What to expect on the day
Consultation and disclosure
Medical conditions and implanted devices are discussed before anything is booked. Please be forthcoming here.
One area of focus
The hour is built around a single area rather than split across several.
The cupping portion
Cups are placed and suction applied. Most people describe a strong pulling sensation that is odd rather than uncomfortable.
Marks afterward
Temporary circular marks are normal and fade on their own. Plan around events.
The rest of the hour
Lipo cavitation, radio frequency contouring and red light therapy complete the session.
Questions
Common questions
Can I book a cupping session on its own?
It is currently published only as one modality inside the combined body contouring session. Call (317) 979-1234 and our front desk will tell you exactly what can be scheduled and quote you accurately.
What does cupping do?
Mechanically, it creates suction against the skin and a localized change in pressure in the area underneath. That is the description we stand behind. Wellness Origin is a day spa and not a medical clinic, so we do not make claims about outcomes and we do not diagnose or treat anything.
Will I have marks afterward?
Temporary circular marks where the cups sat are common and fade on their own. They are not an indicator of how well the session went. Tell us in advance if you have an event, a holiday or anything involving photographs coming up, and we will plan the timing with you.
What else is in the body contouring session?
Lipo cavitation, which applies low frequency sound waves to a targeted area, radio frequency contouring, which applies controlled heat to the skin, and red light therapy, which applies specific wavelengths of red light. All four modalities are delivered across one hour focused on one area, at $125 for a single session.
Who should avoid it?
Body contouring treatments are not recommended for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding, who have implanted devices such as pacemakers or insulin pumps, or who have a seizure disorder. Disclose any medical conditions at your consultation so our team can advise you before you book anything.
