Reflexology
Sixty minutes of focused pressure work on the feet and hands. You stay dressed, and you will not get off the table wanting to go straight back to your desk.
Reflexology is a foot and hand treatment that applies pressure to specific reflex points, and it may promote relaxation and overall well being. It is a 60 minute session at Wellness Origin, published at $98, with three sessions at $244 and six at $468. You remain clothed throughout.
What a session looks like
You stay dressed
Reflexology works on the feet and hands only, so there is no undressing and no draping. Wear whatever you arrived in.
Settling in
You are reclined comfortably, feet supported. Your therapist starts with the feet in most sessions and moves to the hands later.
Point work
Firm, specific thumb and finger pressure applied to points across the soles, the tops of the feet, the toes, and then the palms and fingers. The pressure is deliberate and held rather than gliding.
Pressure feedback
Some points feel more sensitive than others. Tell your therapist which ones and the pressure is adapted. Nothing here needs to be endured.
Finish
Get up slowly, drink water. Most people are noticeably slower moving for the rest of the afternoon.
What reflexology is, described plainly
Reflexology is the application of pressure to specific points on the feet and hands. The tradition behind it maps those points to other regions of the body. The service we offer is that technique, delivered by a trained therapist for 60 minutes, and it may promote relaxation and overall well being.
We will not go further than that on this page. Wellness Origin is a day spa, not a medical clinic. We do not diagnose, we do not treat, and we make no claim that pressure applied to a point on your foot produces a result anywhere else in your body. If you have seen that claim made elsewhere, treat it with the scepticism it deserves. What we can tell you honestly is that it is an hour of specific, focused touch work and that people who book it tend to rebook it.

Who books it
People who are on their feet all day. Nurses, teachers, hospitality staff, anyone whose job does not involve sitting down. Runners and walkers who put serious mileage through their feet. Clients who like the idea of a massage but are not comfortable undressing for one, since reflexology solves that entirely. And people who have simply had every other treatment on the menu and want something different.
It also pairs unusually well with other bookings. A reflexology session and a NormaTec lymphatic compression session, published at $47 for 30 minutes, makes a straightforward legs and feet afternoon. Ask the front desk to schedule them back to back.

Questions
Common questions
What is reflexology?
It is a foot and hand treatment that applies pressure to specific reflex points, and it may promote relaxation and overall well being. Sessions at Wellness Origin run 60 minutes at $98. It is a distinct technique from Swedish or deep tissue massage, which work broadly across the muscles of the whole body.
Do I have to undress?
No. Reflexology works only on the feet and hands, so you stay fully clothed for the entire session. It is the service we most often suggest to clients who like the idea of massage but are not comfortable with the undressing and draping involved in a table massage.
Does it hurt?
The pressure is firm and specific, and some points are more sensitive than others. It should stay within a range that feels productive rather than painful. Tell your therapist which points are tender and the pressure will be adjusted. There is no benefit to gritting your teeth through it.
Is a 90 minute session available?
Only the 60 minute session is currently published, at $98, with three sessions at $244 and six at $468. If you want a longer appointment, call (317) 979-1234 and the front desk will tell you what can be scheduled.
Can I book it with another service on the same day?
Yes, and it combines well with compression therapy or a facial. Please note that if you book multiple services on the same day, our cancellation policy requires 48 hours notice rather than the standard 24 hours for a single service.
