Radio Frequency Facial Treatments

Controlled warmth, applied precisely, over a series. The most gradual treatment on our facial menu and the one that most rewards patience.

A radio frequency facial uses RF energy to gently heat skin tissue, which stimulates subdermal collagen production and encourages tissue remodelling. It is non invasive, involves no needles and no blade, and feels like steady warmth being moved across the face. Sessions are published at $147, with three at $397 and six at $749.

How radio frequency works on skin

Radio frequency energy passes into the skin and generates heat in the tissue below the surface. That controlled warmth is the entire mechanism. The skin responds to being warmed in this specific, contained way with collagen production in the deeper layers, which is a gradual process rather than an immediate one.

Because the effect builds, radio frequency is the least dramatic session on our menu on the day and the one most dependent on completing a series. If you are looking for something with a visible result the same afternoon, dermaplaning or the hydrating facial are better bookings. If you are willing to run a course over months, this is the treatment that fits that pattern.

What a session looks like

  1. Consultation with an esthetician

Radio frequency is applied with precision after a consultation, which is not a formality. Your esthetician confirms it suits your skin and sets the plan.

  2. Cleanse and prepare

Skin is cleansed thoroughly and a conductive medium is applied so the handpiece glides and the energy delivers evenly.

  3. Application

The handpiece is moved in controlled patterns across the treatment area. You feel warmth that builds and then plateaus. It should be comfortable, not hot.

  4. Speak up about temperature

Comfortable warmth is the target. Tell your esthetician immediately if it goes beyond that and the settings will be adjusted.

  5. Finish

Hydration, protection and sun advice. Most people go straight back to their day.

Radio frequency on the face and on the body

We use radio frequency in two different places on our menu and they are not the same appointment. The facial version, described on this page, is applied by an esthetician to the face and priced at $147. Radio frequency contouring appears separately as one modality inside our combined one hour body contouring session, which is published at $125 and also incorporates lipo cavitation, cupping and red light therapy.

If you are researching radio frequency skin tightening in general, be aware that the phrase covers a wide span of devices, energies and settings across the industry. What we can describe accurately is our own: RF energy applied with precision by our estheticians, in a series, with minimal downtime and a warm sensation during the session.

Wellness Origin is a day spa. This is a cosmetic treatment, not a medical procedure. We do not diagnose or treat anything. Radio frequency is not appropriate for everyone, so the consultation happens before the booking, not after it.

Questions

Common questions

What is radio frequency skin tightening?

It is the use of radio frequency energy to gently heat skin tissue below the surface, which stimulates subdermal collagen production and encourages tissue remodelling. It is non invasive, uses no needles and no blade, and is delivered over a series of sessions. Ours is published at $147 per session.

Does it hurt?

It should not. The sensation is warmth building in the area under the handpiece, which most people find pleasant. Comfortable warmth is the target and anything beyond that means the settings need adjusting, so tell your esthetician during the session rather than afterward.

How many sessions before anything changes?

Radio frequency works gradually across a series rather than producing a result on the day, which is why our packages are built at three and six sessions, $397 and $749. Your esthetician will give you a realistic picture at your consultation. If you want something visible immediately, we will point you at a different treatment.

Is this the same as the radio frequency in body contouring?

The underlying energy is the same, the application is not. The facial version is applied to the face by an esthetician at $147 a session. Radio frequency contouring is one modality within our combined one hour body contouring session at $125, alongside lipo cavitation, cupping and red light therapy.

Is there downtime?

Minimal. Most people return to their day straight afterward, and skin may look slightly flushed for a short period from the warmth. Sun protection is sensible after any facial treatment, and your esthetician will give you specific advice at the end of the session about what to use and what to leave alone.
